1) What is our platform’s concept? ?
We are an international platform for sharing knowledge online. We allow users from all over the world to connect, share knowledge and gain skills.
2) Is there an age limit to register for your platform?
Absolutely not! One Brain is a cross-generational platform and, on the contrary, we want to include different generations on our site to be able to pass on their life experience and what they know to each other.
3) What do you mean by "knowledge to share"?
When we talk about "knowledge to share" it can be in many different areas. Indeed, if you are good at baking and you have a foolproof cookie recipe, you can share it with the members of the One Brain platform ! In return, if you are not good at video editing, but you want to open a Youtube channel to share more pastry knowledge, you can also get in touch with a member of the site so that he can teach you the basics of video editing.
4) Why did you choose One Brain as your platform name?
One Brain was a collective choice on the part of our team, we want to make sure that everyone can increase their intellectual capacities in the simplest way possible. In addition, we have a value that is close to our heart at One Brain, that of sharing; indeed, for us, unity is strength, and if we were all a bit smarter, the world would be a better place!
5) How to get in touch with another member of the platform?
All you have to do is enter your interests and what you want to learn, a list of users will appear with what they offer. You can then go to their profile and send them a message once you are friends with them!
6) Can I subscribe to your platform if I have nothing to share, but want to learn new things?
Of course you can sign up and chat with other users even if you don't have anything to share at first. Nevertheless, we are sure that you will find things to share with One Brain members very quickly, and highly recommend putting what you know on your profile page, as that could help other people see that you’re not just leeching off of them.
7) When I create an account is it visible to everyone?
The principle of One Brain is to connect all our users, and your profile will therefore be visible according to the information indicated during your registration, and more precisely according to your areas of interest, what you want to learn and discover.
8) How do I manage my meeting schedule with other One Brain members?
One Brain provides you with a calendar/diary where you can write down all your meetings, but be careful not to have two meetings at the same time..
9) I had a meeting scheduled with a member of One Brain and then haven't heard from him again, what should I do?
If you have already tried to contact him privately and he does not respond, you can send us an email indicating his username and we will contact him to find out more. We try to make sure that users don't schedule a meeting and then cancel them at the last moment, penalties will be applied after three meetings scheduled and not honored.
10) Does One Brain have a mobile app? If so, where can I download it?
At the moment, One Brain does not yet have a mobile application, however we intend to create one as soon as our platform is fully functional and we see that people are requesting it.
11) Are the services you offer payware or freeware?
The services we offer are completely free for the moment, we are thinking of developing a premium subscription that would allow users to get more features but this is not yet relevant. We will update our users on our socials when the time comes !
12) What if we don't speak the same language?
If you don't speak the same language as the person you're trying to contact, it might be a good idea to find someone else ! Unfortunately, we don't have a built-in translator yet and we want to wait until our project grows a bit before trying to incorporate it (and we are also waiting for translation technologies to improve).
